Today's Basic Idea:" Jesus of Montreal "

Just a quick note: If you want to see a truly good film about Christian values, go rent "Jesus of Montreal." It's in French, so of course you people who hate to read (or who hate French) will automatically not be interested.

However, even as a non-Christian person, I loved this film and found the Jesus character to be an inspiring person, peaceful, loving, and all the good things we'd want to be as people.

Of course, it's a modern day story and not based on "the real Jesus", but I think it's awesome. I imagine it is far more powerful than "Passion of the Christ", which I still have not seen. I don't want to give Mel Gibson my money.

Lothaire Bluteau is awesome in "Jesus of Montreal." Seriously - go rent it.
